As autumn approaches the flowers take on more subtle deep pink tones infused with apple green. As with all mophead Hydrangeas, the flowers change colour depending on your soil p H & will become more violet in acid soils. Hydrangea macrophylla ' Red Baron' has a compact, rounded habit which makes it superb for patio containers or a colourful highlight in borders, woodland gardens & cottage gardens.
